Mike Price

Mike Price begins his eighth season as a member of head coach Paul Svagdis’ staff, and his sixth at Azusa Pacific.

Price works both individually and collectively with the Cougars on their mental focus and preparation to the game.

The longtime baseball veteran has spent numerous years coaching summer baseball at the high school level.

Price spent 10 years playing professional baseball from the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s, climbing all the way to the AAA level.

He spent 7 years in the Dodgers’ organization, working his way up to AAA Spokane. Prior to that he spent 1 year at the AA level in the Angels’ organization and 1 year at the AA level in the Cubs’ organization. He also played 1 year in the Mexican Professional League.

Prior to joining Svagdis’ staff at Pomona-Pitzer 8 years ago, Price spent 16 years as a police officer in the cities of Montclair and Pomona. He also worked 8 years as a special investigations officer for various insurance companies.

He currently owns his own private investigation company.

Price is single, and he resides in Upland.
